french riviera

by Rachel Lynch

Slid on down to the French Riviera for my very first time. It was nothing short of magic. I had always wanted to make art there because that’s where Picasso made a great deal of his art.

There’s something magical about the skyline and the sunrises here. It’s like the earth was kissed a thousand times, and you get to feel that affection on your skin. Most of the time I felt like I was floating, unable to grasp the world around me. It takes me a few visits to really digest a place.

But then I got to thinking, maybe I don’t need to grasp everything. Maybe I don’t need to have a stronghold on all that I encounter. Maybe just being there, seeing it, is enough.
