champagne for my real friends, real pain for my sham friends

by Rachel Lynch

Break with tradition, alive in the process. When you let your art make you feel alive.

When you can talk your way out of anything. When you're crashing, but you're not tidal wave. When you're doe-eyed, tragic, hungover again.

What you do on your own time's just fine. And I wanna be alone, but I always find myself with you.

I'd rather waste our time together, cause we can get down.

H&M STUDIO A/W 2015

by Rachel Lynch

I was very pleased when I was asked to be a part of the H&M Studio A/W 2015 launch. I had the pleasure of wearing the look to my first day of New York Fashion week.

When they sent over the line sheets for the new collection, I had no choice but to request this AWESOME fur coat. I mean how cool are the cosmic sun burst vibes going on here? It's such a magical color. I also had to choose this amazing white ribbed tank and  these high waisted black leather pants. I'm a sucker for the white top/black leather combo I've been doing that look often with my black leather necklace! Such a perfect fall feel.

Anyways, check out the rest of the collection here. It's all really fun to mix and match and play with.

London Calling

by Rachel Lynch

If you haven't been up to date on instagram, I spent the past four days roaming London and exploring everything for the first time.

We stayed at the London Edition, which was super beautiful. The vibe there was so on point and lux. Our room featured wood, fur and white -- three things I would consider necessary for any hotel room. Downstairs they had this amazing restaurant and bar called Berners Tavern (pictured above), where we had brunch a few times. The looks of the inside completely changes from day to night. Also in our hotel was a chic little bar call the Punch Room, which was all wooden like madmen with delicious cocktails. I got the Milk Punch, which was sweet but so very light and delicious.

Some other of my top favorite places we drank and dined are the Rosewood Hotel and the Sanderson Hotel. We visited the Rosewood on Sunday, so there was a beautiful open market selling craft crystals, gin, and all sorts of speciality foods. We grabbed a cocktail inside one of the three hotel bars, and it looked like a giant library. Probably my favorite cocktail of the entire trip! The chef there is also from indian so we had some incredible small indian dishes. The Sanderson Hotel was so beautiful inside (see blue couch photo above) it had an amazing chic feel with white eyeball seats and an all-glass bar. There was also an insane garden outside where you could dine and drink. I would die to do a shoot here one day.

Maybe it was because I packed well, but London made me so excited to get up and get dressed everyday. I loved mixing all my gypsy warrior tops with leather bottoms. Also, I don't think I've ever gotten so many compliments on a hat in my life as I did on this red one from gypsy. Another piece I found to be staple was the leather necklace, it has a very relaxed and cool essence to it, especially when mixed with a tattoo choker.

I also found it necessary to stomp around in a variation of black boots (I never bring less that 5 pairs of shoes on a trip) and of course a leather moto jacket. I felt very London cool once I pulled every rocker-esque, ready-for-fall look together each morning.

Maybe it was the cooler fall temperatures, the influx of coffee and cocktails, or both, but London left me feeling inspired and ready to dress my best for fall.

soundtrack your summer

by Rachel Lynch

I spent the long weekend with the best curated jams from Google Play, while wearing these amazing sunnies from ASOS. Actually this dope crop top and fringe vest are also from ASOS. I can't wait to pair this 70s vibe turtle neck crop top with bellbottoms for winter. Nothing like cruising through the city in an uber in your oversized shades and favorite music.

You can shop my look on ASOS + make sure to check out google play's free music!

hard way

by Rachel Lynch

I didn't know it would sound like this when you and I drifted apart. Who am I going to give the thunder to now, don't know who to cast it upon. I just want to walk out into the sea all alone. The water sings heavy.

Where can I find peace in the city as I found in the eyes of you?

In too deep. I press my skin for a pulse. I sound like the earth around me. I have ascended into fourth dimensional consciousness without you, and I am so alone.

dark paradise

by Rachel Lynch

Dans la maison de mon rêve, you're in my arms.

Yet again, we're the only ones. You've been busy in my bed. Every time I close my eyes to feel the rush, it's like a dark paradise.

Tempted by your hands and letting go, I'm the wild one now. Take a little hit from time to time. I can feel you touching me. Filling the void, all the cake is all for you.

What we got can't leave this room. Playing with your heart, and holding it to forget what we did. I do it all to stay warm. I do it all to get by. Harvard house. I'll be here till my body gets thin to forget all my sins. Take her down to Mexico.

I won't keep you, just do me right till I'm too tired to leave you.

mornings in playa del carmen

by Rachel Lynch

Easy mornings in playa were my favorite. Waking up with the sun and sipping espresso outside with fresh fruits in a cabana. Waking up and getting in right into the water. Simple shirts and bellbottoms. This look was perfect for sipping coffee and reading outside. The white top also makes a really good swimsuit coverup. You can get both pieces from Boohoo.

Mexico: Instagram Recap

by Rachel Lynch

Hey guys, in case you missed it on instagram here are some photos from my trip to Mexico! There is nothing more fun then going through your camera roll after a big adventure! Unlike most trips, I packed more than enough for my week-long stay. I was very happy with the variety of clothing options I had (aside from not bringing sandals, haha hate em'!) All of the swimsuits you see in my posts are from Minimale Animale. I literally brought 5 of their suites, love them! Also the cover up that looks like a pack of Malbros is by them, so badass! Most of the clothing I wore from day to day was from Motel Rocks and Boohoo. (Although I pretty much lived in swumsuits.)  I also wore a super cute romper from Rebellious fashion. My sunglasses are by Crap Eyewear and all my black boots are by my boyfriend, Jeffrey Campbell.

If you have any questions about where to get something, how to style a look, drop me a comment or email. I'm here and love to help all you blonde bunnies!

stranger

by Rachel Lynch

A friend of mine once told me that, "there's stranger sex than sex with strangers."  I had to agree. The things people do out here in New York.

We were chain smoking on my fire escape, drinking champagne from the bottle and watching the world below. If only we had know the things we were going to see, would it of made a difference?

They're not strangers, it's just a strangeland.

They're not real, it's just fictional.

I let them all in, they all want to stay.

Falling further into people and places.

Face down, can't breath, it's cold.

I just don't need it.

is this happiness

by Rachel Lynch

High up in the Plaza Hotel taking rose-colored pills. I've been manically trying to write in my diary, but I slide it into the bedside table.

You're a hard man to love, and I'm a hard woman to keep track of.

Flip my attention to you and turn my body on to yours. You're both here and there. It's hard to keep you fully present in any hotel room.

Cheap trills just don't suit me anymore, but I can see daydreams of them caked across your face. You think you're Kurt Cobain, and I think you're fucking crazy as the day's long.

I remember at first, when it was all so charming. You'd come crashing into my apartment at four am. Smelling of whisky and going on about the sunrise. You'd jump on my bed with your guitar to wake me from my slumber, and I felt like I was only switching form one dreamland to the next.

But money changes everything, perhaps even more than time. And success separates people more than distance. And I just can't love you anymore, because it still feels like a distant dream.
