London Calling

by Rachel Lynch

If you haven't been up to date on instagram, I spent the past four days roaming London and exploring everything for the first time.

We stayed at the London Edition, which was super beautiful. The vibe there was so on point and lux. Our room featured wood, fur and white -- three things I would consider necessary for any hotel room. Downstairs they had this amazing restaurant and bar called Berners Tavern (pictured above), where we had brunch a few times. The looks of the inside completely changes from day to night. Also in our hotel was a chic little bar call the Punch Room, which was all wooden like madmen with delicious cocktails. I got the Milk Punch, which was sweet but so very light and delicious.

Some other of my top favorite places we drank and dined are the Rosewood Hotel and the Sanderson Hotel. We visited the Rosewood on Sunday, so there was a beautiful open market selling craft crystals, gin, and all sorts of speciality foods. We grabbed a cocktail inside one of the three hotel bars, and it looked like a giant library. Probably my favorite cocktail of the entire trip! The chef there is also from indian so we had some incredible small indian dishes. The Sanderson Hotel was so beautiful inside (see blue couch photo above) it had an amazing chic feel with white eyeball seats and an all-glass bar. There was also an insane garden outside where you could dine and drink. I would die to do a shoot here one day.

Maybe it was because I packed well, but London made me so excited to get up and get dressed everyday. I loved mixing all my gypsy warrior tops with leather bottoms. Also, I don't think I've ever gotten so many compliments on a hat in my life as I did on this red one from gypsy. Another piece I found to be staple was the leather necklace, it has a very relaxed and cool essence to it, especially when mixed with a tattoo choker.

I also found it necessary to stomp around in a variation of black boots (I never bring less that 5 pairs of shoes on a trip) and of course a leather moto jacket. I felt very London cool once I pulled every rocker-esque, ready-for-fall look together each morning.

Maybe it was the cooler fall temperatures, the influx of coffee and cocktails, or both, but London left me feeling inspired and ready to dress my best for fall.
