california roadtrippin'

by Rachel Lynch

Baby, I'm feeling free. Let's go get lost somewhere in the USA. I don't care what we eat or what we do. Those details get lost on the road. We shift our thinking to focus on the endless possibility. We change through wandering, and our walk with God takes a new path. The sun would remind us of how good God is, and how we must celebrate the life He has given us. Life is really about the journey, we only spend moments in the destination. We celebrated our victories all along the way. Do what is wisdom, do what you have peace about.

NYFW Day Four

by Rachel Lynch

Here's another look I sported during NYFW from Lulu's. I love this color blue, and I decided to pair it with these reflective Le Specs. My necklace is from a brand I've really been loving lately called Sparkles & Pop.

I had a seat at the Oscar De La Renta fashion show thanks to my friend, Nicole of Red Velvet Swimwear. Certainly, it was my most inspirational show of fashion week. Sitting there, behind Grace Coddington and amongst such influential people, I realize how much I really, really love fashion. And yes, that sounds stupid probably when you just read it, but it's like I had this moment, where I knew this was exactly the world I have wanted to be a part of since I was nine. Out of all the creative things I do, fashion is the most important to my heart. I see myself as a creative director, of a major brand or fashion magazine someday.

I think it's important to be remind why you love something sometimes. For me, it was the beautifully historic and stunning Oscar De La Renta show. It really made fashion week for me and inspired me to work even harder.

Right now, I'm enjoying the California sunshine far from fashion week, but I always know where my home is and I can't wait to be back in New York's energy next week.

NYFW Day Three

by Rachel Lynch

Here's my look from the third day of #NYFW. I linked up with Bri in the morning to shoot this outfit in the Gansevoort Hotel because it's just too damn cold outside. I'm kind of obsessed with this jacket, its by OBEY but was sent to me by Lulu's, so you can purchase it on their site. It's so soft and I've gotten so many compliments every time I've worn it. I decided to pair it up with this lace black dress, also from Lulus. They always hook me up with the best dresses. They've got a huge selection. So of course when they wanted to partner for fashion week, I was like "YAAAAS!"

Hehe, I hope you enjoy this look! More from Lulu's & I to come!

twice as hard

by Rachel Lynch

"There were days of no surprise. On the wing, when nobody cared but you. Outright we tried to feel salvation. The proof of it was always you, boo.

If these times should signify my mistakes, please give me power. These are all of my creations, leaving me disavowed.

Twice as hard, I give it right back to you.

I relied on fewer lies to let you in. Become my lover, so with all of my relations. One caves in on another.

All those nights of many lives, following beautiful hours. These are all of my creations, verring me now towards you."

little dreamers

My mother once told me, "when you change the things you look at, the things you look at change." I didn't understand it then, but she was teaching me how to be in the world.

As you modify your thinking, your world will undergo pleasantly dramatic changes. One who understands others has true knowledge. The humbling of hearts and the connecting of souls is what fills. See the world and your place in it in a new light. If you realize you have enough, you are truly rich. As you think, so shall you be.

KNOW YOURSELF

by Rachel Lynch

Pray the real live forever. Pray the fakes get exposed. I ain't rockin' my jewelry, that's on purpose. Bitches want my spot and don't deserve it. I don't like how serious they take themselves. I've always been me, I guess I know myself.

This been where you find me at.

silverlake bird

by Rachel Lynch

She was a daughter of the tao, a free-bird. Everything in the sunshine settles into its own perfect place, so she followed suit. Rather than seeking more, she sought to be giving like the sun; the practice of gratitude is what leads us to the contented life. She sat sipping a soy latte in the sun, feeling it warming the very insides of her spirit, one who lives in accordance with nature does not go against the way of things. Surrounded by so much love on both the East and West coast, she felt humbled by the hearts of those around here. And once she felt loved, she decided to go inward and find who she was again. To return to the root is to find peace.

NYFW: Day Two

by Rachel Lynch

Day Two of NYFW has been the wildest by far. I was out of my apartment from 8am-4am. But hey, that's just the fashion week life.

I sat front row at the Mongol show at 10AM, and was invited backstage afterwards to meet the designer (such a cutie) and see the collection first-hand. I love the madness that is backstage after a show, half-dressed models, photographers and the most random reports from all over the world. It's really like nothing else you've ever seen.

After that I headed to another show at noon for Ese Azenabor, which was a really cool mix of dresses and textures. Then at two, I headed up to studio 450 to see the Nina Athanasiou show. Her stuff was so dope, I took a few phone photos from the front row but ugh, it was so hard to capture. There were these little blonde girls, with blonde eyebrows wearing leather mini belted dresses and tan thigh-high boots. That shit was magical.

Afterwards, I went to the West Village to hang at the NYLON pop up lounge. Within an hour, I had to head out to the Lulus party. After the Lulus party, I ran back downtown for the Chromat show, and then Brooklyn for the after party. The party was amazing at this really dope bar in Williamsburg that had a skate park inside. We danced till 4am with the best of music.

Needless to say, when I got home, I passed out and couldn't believe I got up the next day to do more shows and the Galore Mag party.

Lots more coming from Fashion Week, including a cool feature with Lulus, so stay tuned! LA in two days!! Wooo! Sunshine!! <3 xx

NYFW: Day One

by Rachel Lynch

Hey, hey guys! NYFW has been a wild blur so far, I feel like I'm hardly home aka able to update the blog. But it will all end soon & i'll be back in LA in 3 days!

For the first day of fashion week, where I watched the amazing Darkoh menswear presentation, I wore this full look for MLTD. The hat is by UNIF & the track set is by Joyrich. I'm so so into these colors, especially this jacket. I can't wait to wear it in the California sunshine next week.

much love & more coming

"i love you, honeybear"

by Rachel Lynch

"Oh honeybear, my love, you're the one I want to watch the ship go down with. The future can't be real, I barely know how long a moment it. Unless we're naked getting high on the mattress, while the global market crashes.

Mascara, blood, ash and cum on the rorschach sheets where we make love.

Everything is doomed and nothing will be spared.

Just one cadillac will do to get us out to where we're going. I brought my mother's depression, you've got your father's scorn and a wayward aunt's schizophrenia.

But everything is fine, don't give into despair

cause i love you, honeybear."
