We move from sipping champagne in the apartment to dancing in the back-rooms of Brooklyn. Every night is alive in New York. And you're a part of it, whether you like it or not. We wear black, but so does everyone else. It's not really optional. Glass and dark looks, color projections on the wall. We chose to dance, make music, make moves, make magic. It's all happening.

Not that I really had a chance this time. This was actually the first hotel party I had that was shut down by security. It's never happened to me before! I'm surprised too, because we were all the way at the top floor of the Dana in the corner balcony suite,  with a club above us, so it would be impossible to hear us. Apparently though, too many people were down in the lobby trying to get up. I apologize to my friends who didn't make it in time/ who were upset, etc. Not exactly my choice, I'll guess I'll just have to be more careful next time.

The rest of the night was wild and splendid though, we went out to two clubs I've never been to before. We got free drinks, cried in the bathroom and danced. Then when we got back to the hotel around 4:30, some of our friends were just arriving, so it kind of worked out. Maybe I'll try planning better for New Years.

Met her at this house party off Central. Told her, "Bitch, I've been on my vibe for like 20 years straight." We drank from blue cups to the music of youth, being young and dumb. No I don't remember you, I don't intend to. When we're on cloud nine, it's a murderous rhythm. You're looking around with clear blue eyes, wondering if anyone else is as awake as you. You decided to get lost in the moment of things, it's a mindset, nothing more.

Sometimes the world was too fake. You felt alive in a sea of good night moon people. It'd be a different story if they were half awake. But you had opened your eyes to your purpose. Not that you knew your purpose, but nonetheless, you knew you had one. Yet, Paris was too old of a city, and we were too young. We started smoking thin cigarettes. Good times, you can feel it in the fashion. The streets got butterflies and enough kids to catch them. We're too young and too free. So we danced down the alleyways singing, "let it shine."

Wild like aliens, out of this world. Everything I know says to fly.  I've been enjoying summer days and nights with my friends so much. They're all so creative and full of life. It's refreshing to be in a city surrounded by healing love and artistic spirits.
