It was said to be Andy Warhol's favorite of all to shoot with! We were excited to take it out to play, and had a nice day at Prospect Park and then a little evening out in the East Village. I'm really excited with the way the images and colors developed. Film has always been my favorite way to capture fashion photos for my blog. I know this camera will come out to play during fashion week as well.

Anyways, I wanted to take some time to talk to you guys about living creatively. I often get emails, facebook message and tweets about how I stay inspired and create for my blog every day.

I'd like to refer to the 6th verse of the Tao, which speaks of an eternal and indescribable force of creation that lives inside all of us. If you choose to be aware of the creativity that already exists inside you, I believe it will assist you with new ideas, inspiration, projects and anything that's on your heart.

In Deng Ming-Dao's Daily Meditations, he writes of what it feels like to tap into this creative awareness:

"You can feel this in your life: Events will take on a perfect momentum, a glorious cadence. You can feel it in your body: The energy will rise up in you in a thrilling crescendo, setting your very nerves aglow. You can feel it in your spirit: You will enter a state of such perfect grace that you will resound over the landscape of reality like ephemeral bird song."

When you're in touch with the creativity that is uniquely you, you can offer the world your authentic intelligence and talents. Listen to what YOUR heart desire, ignore how others may want to direct your life energies. Allow yourself to get to know what is uniquely you. It doesn't matter what the calling of your heart is - blogging, design, writing, school, teeth cleaning, photography, gardening.

Whatever you feel within you as your calling -- whatever makes you feel alive -- know in your heart that this is all the excitement you need to make your dream a reality. Being creative means trusting yourself.

I'm not saying every day is just a divine flow of creative energy for me. But even on my worst days, I can rest in knowing that I am forever connected to the creative force. Take some time today to be alone and try to listen to your heart. What makes you uniquely you? What do you feel you want to do with your time here?

It is all so special, and it is all a gift.

It's a really easy look to get, and I'm gonna show you how!

First, I styled my black wildfox lost sweater with a pair of lace up lip service velvet shorts from dolls kill. I matched this with my current shoe obsession (I can't stop wearing them) my Shakuhachi Neoprene Knee High boots! These boots are the best, I'm swearing by them. The heel is so so tiny, which makes them extremely comfortable for wandering around LA in.

To finish the look, I threw on my black cowboy-esque hat, which I purchased from Nasty Gal. And of course, I added my Wildfox Couture aviators, these babies are the bomb, and perfect for reflecting photos!

That's it, just a few simple all-black pieces to make a really great Venice day look. These photos were taken on Abbot Kinney, my absolute new favorite spot in California. I love this street, it's filled with great restaurants, bars and shops. And the best part about it? It leads right down to the beach. I spent my time biking around it in the morning and then to the beach once I finished blog work at the outdoor coffee shops. I'm really missing LA hard this week, thinking of getting a place there.
