I've been talking to you in my sleep. I've been thinking of you in my dreams. I lay in the cold of winter's leftovers, heated by my heart's plans. Nothing gets the body through winter like hope. Your secret's safe with me. The memories of exchanging heat turn into a handful of sheets. Dreams in hurricane flashes, ice grip. Falling through the floor on my broken butterfly wing.

Sleep without your clothes on, without your common sense. I lay waiting for the morning sun telling me when to rise. For now it's spring, and I have to let you go.
