This hotel holds such dear memories for me. Located on fifth avenue in Central Park South, this is where my family first stayed when we were in New York. My siblings and I curled up in our tower suite while our parents worked, and we ate cookies and milk brought up on silver trays. We watched Disney cartoons and jumped on big white hotel beds. We fought over rooms and who got to sleep in what room. We didn't really care too much about what was going on outside, we had our own little palace to run around in. This is also the hotel where my parents had their honeymoon! I had a moment of intense nostalgia when we first checked in, and I sat down in front of the gold full length mirror. I remember being eleven and putting one of those giant hotel rolls that swallowed me sufficiently whole. I stood behind my mother while she was getting ready in front of one of those gold mirrors, and I just remember thinking that she was the most lovely person in the whole world.

Anyways! I spent the day there shooting an editorial on film with Jen Senn assisted by David Aronson. I can't wait to share those photos with you guys! The day was filled with pastel dresses, Giuseppe platforms, flower tiaras, bubble baths, chocolate-covered strawberries and champagne.

We shot late into the night until my friends started arriving around seven. Once my friends arrived, we popped fancy french champagne bottles, ordered french fries, and played spin the champagne bottle. Of course everyone there was a photographer/artist/creative so there was way too many photos taken. A few hours into the party, my darling Brittanny, surprised me all the way from Rhode Island! I had no idea she was coming. I cried and hugged her for so long. It was probably one of the sweetest gestures I've ever experienced in my life. As the evening progressed, some elected to take a bubble bath full of flowers, we ordered caviar and shrimp and took a million photos on all our phones. Everyone tried on all my sequin party dresses and a few of them didn't really make it through the night.

I feel so lucky to be surrounded by so many incredibly talented and beautiful people that I am blessed to call my friends. I really value each and every one of you, and am so glad you are in my life and I am in yours.

Life keeps getting sweeter and sweeter, cheers to 23!
