my boy builds coffins,

by Rachel Lynch in

my boy built me a coffin because he wanted me to relax. He says I'm not good at playing weak. You never did learn to let me swim on my own, but I understand the world does what it does.

When the sun rises each morning, it is important you fight for something other than yourself. The evergreen trees don't need you like the people do. Never turn your back on the world.

I whisper that I love you to your soul as it slips out of the room.

my body won't let me fall victim any more.
