Running through Rhode Island till I pass out. Last Friday brought an extended weekend vacation my way in the beautiful city of Providence. I feel like I'm getting to see all of New England this summer, and I'm falling more in love with every city I go to. Each one inspires me to write in an entirely new setting, and my Molsken pad is just about full (as it should be with the ending of a season and the beginning of another.)
The purpose of my trip was to see where my beloved friend, Brittanny, lives and works. You see, she's usually staying with me at my condo in Brooklyn, so it only made sense that I took the time to come out her way.
I must say, I have never been more delighted by the people of a city in my life. Perhaps it's just the wonderful, strong women that Brittany surrounds herself with, but every girl was just gold. Everyone was so willing to help each other and work together. We had a different group of hair, makeup and clothing people everyday. Each one filled my heart, and I feel as though I've made at least ten new friends. I'm hoping to go back in the fall, when the leaves are changing colors, giving a romantic autumn feel to the brick streets and oceanside.
Look forward to a bunch of new shoots from Rhode Island coming your way, including an editorial at the Dean Hotel for Nylon Magazine!
