The sun lingered into the evening and we stayed up to watch it glow. Yellow noise on everything around her. It was all-consuming, we could think of nothing else. All we wanted was to know it was going to be like this forever. That deep and comforting feeling you get when the sun hits your skin. Honey on the inside, warm weather is unveiling truth and carless caresses. Lay-over, tee-shirt, ambitions lived out in real-time. Running between streets and watermelon juice slipping off your skin. Tanned bodies under white sheets and mornings on the fire-escape. Maybe it's because we don't have it all the time, that we feel so alive when we finally have it.
